I grew up in the southern suburbs of Chicago, just blocks from the city limits and a few miles from the Indiana state line, near the steel mills. This piece captures the sights and sounds I experienced as a child—a wonderland I’m proud to have been a part of, and one I wouldn’t change for the world.
Cosmic Hepcats is a collaborative series created by my wife and me, blending hand-drawn and digital techniques. These interplanetary characters are joyful, expressive, and unapologetically themselves—living by the motto, “Be who you are. Be what you’re like.” Printed on 20" × 20" canvas, each piece adds a bold dose of positivity and personality to any space.

The title "Tuscadero Daydream" is a nod to the character Pinky Tuscadero from the classic TV show "Happy Days." Pinky Tuscadero, known for her bold personality and signature pink attire, was a love interest of the iconic character Fonzie. The drawing's playful chaos and bright pink hues evoke the spirit of Pinky Tuscadero and her fun, carefree attitude.
The reference to "jumping the shark" is subtly suggested through the presence of an exaggerated, almost absurd shark like creature. "Jumping the shark" originated from a memorable episode of "Happy Days" when Fonzie literally jumped over a shark on water skis, marking a turning point in the show's history.
"Tuscadero Daydream" is perfect for those who appreciate art that blends pop culture references with surreal and imaginative visuals.
